Streszczenie
Artykuł podejmuje zagadnienie roli autorytetów w procesie kształtowania postaw obywatelskich wśród młodego pokolenia. W części teoretycznej autor omawia definicje postaw obywatelskich, autorytetu oraz jego funkcje socjalizacyjne i wychowawcze. Szczególną uwagę poświęcono przemianom w percepcji autorytetu we współczesnym społeczeństwie. Część empiryczna oparta została na badaniu ankietowym przeprowadzonym wśród 250 studentów, którego celem było zbadanie, jakie cechy przypisują autorytetom, kto pełni dla nich tę rolę oraz w jaki sposób autorytety wpływają na ich postawy obywatelskie i moralne. Autor konkluduje, że autorytety pełnią istotną funkcję w kształtowaniu świadomości obywatelskiej, a ich kryzys może skutkować osłabieniem spójności społecznej i kulturowej. Wskazuje na potrzebę wzmacniania edukacji aksjologicznej, obecności autorytetów w procesie wychowawczym oraz przeciwdziałania destrukcyjnym wpływom środowisk cyfrowych.

The importance of authorities in shaping civic attitudes
Summary
The article addresses the role of authorities in the process of shaping civic attitudes among the young generation. In the theoretical part, the author discusses definitions of civic attitudes, authority, and its socializing and educational functions. Particular attention is given to the transformations in the perception of authority in contemporary society. The empirical part is based on a survey conducted among 250 university students, aimed at examining which traits they attribute to authorities, who fulfills this role for them, and how authorities influence their civic and moral attitudes. The author concludes that authorities play a crucial role in shaping civic awareness, and their crisis may lead to a weakening of social and cultural cohesion. The need to strengthen axiological education, ensure the presence of authorities in the educational process, and counteract the destructive influence of digital environments is emphasized.
